Ferdie didn't get any better over night and in fact got worse.

We are not really sure what was wrong, but his kidneys seem to have failed. We went to see him tonight, but he was pretty out of it and had been urinating blood. His fur was messy, his noise dry and he was unable to focus and seemed out of it. We did consider more treatment, but it seemed that it would be pointless. It seems that not much can be done to repair kidneys and so future treatment was not going to help. The vet didn't really guide us that much, in part because we asked for blood test results and that seemed to spook her that we might sue I suppose.

It was hard as we stroked him and said good bye as she gave him the injection that put him to sleep. And he just drifted away. It was very hard, I never thought that it would end like this. I didn't really want to cry as it might upset him, but he was only vaguely aware we were there. He was comfortable, but the life had gone from him.

He was a young cat, not even three. We have no idea why it happened, we want to know because his brother might suffer from the same thing. The vets seem fixated on anti-freeze which we don't have. And he is an indoor cat. So perhaps it was an infection or something wrong with him. I wish I knew, we are going to take Mikko in for an exam.

You are a cat. A cat that doesn't do outdoors, but shares a house with your brother.

Your joint possessions consists of;
1. A shared waterbowl
2. Two litter trays(presumably one each)
3. Two bowls(one each)

Suddenly you find the need to take a piss. But one of the two litter trays is in use - your brother is in there.

So what do you do?
