The livejournal elections are underway.

I am not convinced it will be that good, it looks like [livejournal.com profile] jameth has it in the bag. To be honest I will probably vote for whichever candidate looks capable of beating him. I bet there are a large number of people are simply anti-troll candidates. The people who vote for the troll candidates are probably the same people who moan every lj_news post about whatever.

On the subject of livejournal I see they have introduced the dashboard. Might be interesting, but is a bit like explore or the portal thing. This was something I wanted to deal with in my attempt to get nominated, three features doing a similar thing but none of which quite work. Rather than sort out the portal they created explore and now rather than sort out explore they go off on this dashboard. One of the candidates, [livejournal.com profile] deathboy(name dropping I know) said to me that it was because they have programmers and they have to do something new to prevent them fiddling with things that work. But it would be good to actually manage what the hell the team are doing. I am not sure if LJ even has a general manager.

Long weekend!
